The Deep Space Felt
Game Mat is designed especially
for sci-fi (ship-to-ship) naval games. The felt chosen for this mat was the darkest, most uniform colored, and the highest quality felt
we could obtain. The star cluster artwork is silk screened, while cosmic dust/clouds and solar flares have been airbrushed onto the mat's surface.
The 1, 1½, 1¾, 2, 3, 4 and the 5 inch hex and the 1, 2 or 4 inch squares silk screen printed patterns are a perfect match for virtually any sci-fi game on todays market.
As with all Hotz Artworks felt game
mats, the mats have been treated with a protective fabric binder that helps to prevent pilling and other forms of wear normally
associated with felt and also helps to protect that air brushed art surfaces.
These mats
are designed to take normal gaming punishment and should last a very long time.
Silk screen printed grid patterns: You have the choice of purchasing game mats printed with 1, 1½, 1¾, 2, 3, 4 or 5 inch
hexes or 1, 2 or 4 inch squares, or you may choose a game mat without hexes. Mats are available in the following sizes:
